US Goldings are derived from traditional English aroma varieties that have been grown in the East Kent region for hundreds of years. The Canterbury strain was brought across the Atlantic and cultivated in America for beer production in the new world. Goldings are noted for their delicate, sweet floral aroma and overall pleasant character. Often used in light and English style ales, as well as late additions to lagers where a delicate hop profile is desired.
